Keller Peak Look Out

On a clear day this is the best view around- if you are not hiking. If you like to hike there are better views and it always feels like a better view after a good hike anyways. The best time to go is in the fall or when the sky is extremely clear in the summer. The road is closed from first snow until about Memorial Day weekend.

To get there: take highway 18 through Running Springs. Just past the forest service station is a sign that shows the way to Keller Peak. Drive up Keller Peak Road to the top. If it is during the summer there is someone at the look out and you can climb the look out to the top. It is interesting to have the volunteers give you a tour of the Look Out and the views are amazing. You can see San Bernardino Peak, San Jacinto Peak, LA sky scrapers and even can get a view of the beach.
